General information
Who can I contact if I have any questions?
You can contact us at any time at info@skate-media.com or via the contact form. We will try to respond to your message as quickly as possible. Questions on social media are usually lost, so please only use these channels.
Where is the SKATE Ice produced?
Our SKATE Ice (synthetic ice) is produced by a German manufacturer in Dortmund.
Where is the SKATE Wear turntable manufactured?
Our SKATE Wear turntable was designed by Kat and is handmade in Hanover.
Where can I buy / sharpen skates?
We recommend Skate & Glide in Berlin, which we also work with. In our personal experience, this is the best specialist store in Germany.
Memberships & access
Is there a SKATE Club membership?
Yes, you are welcome to become part of our SKATE Club Member Community! You can purchase this membership in the store for 85€ per year or 8,00€ per month and benefit from all member advantages.
How do I benefit as a SKATE Club member?
You will receive a 10% discount on all SKATE Club events, a €15 discount per 60 minutes on private lessons (on- and off-ice) and varying discounts on our store items. Members also have priority on waiting lists for events and private lessons. Once a year there is an exclusive member event.
Do I then have my own access?
Yes, you can then log in as a member on our website and receive your discounts when you book.
Returns & shipping
How does the delivery of SKATE Ice work?
Once we have received your order, we will contact the manufacturer who will then produce the SKATE Ice for you. Depending on the production chain, this can take up to 2 months (normally faster). You will be informed by the shipping company when the SKATE Ice will be delivered. Please make sure that someone is at home on that day, as redelivery involves considerable costs.
Can I return digital products?
For the purchase of digital products, including but not limited to membership subscriptions, vouchers or similar content, there is no right of withdrawal in accordance with Section 356 (5) BGB. This is due to the fact that digital content is made available immediately and the right of withdrawal therefore does not apply.
Can I return store products?
Yes, you can request a refund directly via your order. Simply open the order overview and select the "Request refund" option.
Participation in camps & booking
Can I take part in SKATE Club events as an adult?
Absolutely!!! Our SKATE Club events are aimed at young (from 13 years) and adult runners. Our "oldest" participants are 70 years old.
Can I take part in SKATE Club events as a beginner?
Definitely! That is the basic idea behind the SKATE Club. We want to give more people the opportunity to learn to skate, so beginners are very welcome. The only important thing for us is that you can somehow move around the ice on your own.
Can I take part in SKATE Club events as someone who already double jumps?
Yes, that's what the SKATE Club Advanced is for. At the regular camps, we focus on single jumps in the advanced group and work on technique, but we also let our double jumpers do double jumps.
How old do I have to be to take part in a SKATE Club event?
For our regular ice skating events and camps you must be at least 13 years old.
Where do the SKATE Club events take place?
In various cities in Germany, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. You can find all dates in our ticket store!
Can I book private lessons at the camps?
At our camps - if private training is available - the private training can be booked and paid for directly online together with the ticket. You can find more information under the Ticket Shop in the description of the respective camp. If you have any questions about private lessons, please send us an e-mail to
When will I be told who I have private lessons with?
We will send an e-mail with the private lesson list to all participants approx. 2-3 days before the event.
How can I take part in a SKATE Club event?
To take part in a SKATE Club event, you can simply buy a ticket via our website.
Do I need my own skates?
No. You can hire skates on site at the ice rink for the regular ice rink/shop fee. Please note that the quality of the rental skates is usually not that good. We therefore recommend that you bring your own skates or buy some from a specialist store. We will be happy to help you with this, just ask.
Who teaches us at the SKATE Club?
We have a large team of highly qualified freelance trainers. You can see which trainer is at which event in the description of the respective event.
Do I need a certain level?
No, all levels - from absolute beginners to double jumpers - are welcome.
Can I pass on my ticket?
Yes, if you cannot come and someone else comes in your place, you only need to enter the new participant's details on the website in your login area. The correct details of the new participant must be entered, otherwise we will not be able to let the person onto the ice.
Will I get my money back if I cannot attend an event?
No, we do not refund tickets unless we have to cancel the event, in which case you will receive a full refund. If you cannot come, please write an e-mail to
Do I have to book my accommodation and travel myself?
Yes, accommodation, travel to and from the event and meals are organized independently by each participant.
How many participants are there at an event?
Between 25 and 30 on average.
Digital content
Where can I buy a gift card?
You can buy a gift card from €25 on our website in the store and ticket store.
How does the gift card work?
You buy a gift card on our website for your desired amount. You will then receive your personal gift code by e-mail, which you can then use for all events & items on our website at check-out.
What is the Digital Coach?
If you have difficulties with a certain element and are stuck, you can send us a video of the element and we will send you a correction with exercise suggestions via WhatsApp or email.
How do I collect loyalty points?
You collect loyalty points with every purchase - you receive 1 point for every €1 you spend. You can exchange your collected points for vouchers at any time and redeem them directly at the checkout.
