The coaching team (subject to change!)
(We speak German & English)
Franz Streubel
Franz is a former German figure skater and now a skating coach. He is a two-time German champion and won 6 international senior medals (gold at the Bavarian Open & NRW Trophy). He competed at the European and World Championships. As a professional skater he performed with Hot Ice Show and at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. Franz now passes on his knowledge to skaters of all levels and ages. He lives in the UK with his wife Sophia.
Tobija Harms
Tobija is a true late starter on the ice: he first stepped onto skates at the age of 11, but quickly found his way into competitive sport. In 2025 he became German junior pairs champion and represented Germany at six Junior Grand Prix events and two Junior World Championships (Calgary & Taipei). After his competitive career at the Oberstdorf national training centre, he now passes on his knowledge as a coach while studying sports management. Tobija teaches all ages and levels, from first steps to advanced elements, specialising in power skating and jumps. With targeted off-ice athletic training in strength and plyometrics, he prepares the body for the demands and dynamics of the sport. Creating a healthy, motivating environment where everyone reaches their goals with lots of fun is especially important to him.
Katja Bögelsack
Katja (née Schubert) competed in pair skating with her brother Knut Schubert in Berlin from 1964 to 1977. Together they skated at the World and European Championships and many national and international competitions. Katja has been teaching all levels and ages since 1985 (Berlin, Hanover, Wedemark). For her, figure skating is the most beautiful sport in the world for young and old.
