Levels & age at SKATE Club Camps

Group 1:
Learning to skate forwards and backwards, stopping, crossovers and first two-foot turns.

Group 2:
For everyone practising three turns, mohawks, first single jumps and first one-foot spins.

Group 3:
For everyone practising single jumps, possibly the Axel and first double jumps, various spins and difficult steps such as twizzles, loops, backward three turns, rockers and counters.

Who it is for:
The camps are mainly for adults. The minimum age is 13. Age is checked on arrival. If incorrect information is given, there is no refund, as the ticket could have been sold to someone else.

Kat Miles
Kat is a licensed figure skating coach, fitness and personal trainer, and athletic coach for competitive sport. She competed in singles and pairs skating (Olympic squad), performed as a show skater in various shows worldwide, and was a professional skater and coach on the TV show “Dancing on Ice” on SAT.1 (seasons 1 and 2) alongside Detlef Soost and Peer Kusmagk. Kat runs the SKATE Club YouTube channel.

Katja Bögelsack
Katja (née Schubert) was a competitive pairs skater with her brother Knut Schubert in Berlin from 1964 to 1977. Together they competed at the World and European Championships and at many national and international competitions. Katja has been coaching all levels and ages since 1985 (Berlin, Hanover, Wedemark). For her, figure skating is the most beautiful sport in the world for young and old.

Lola Wegner
Lola has worked for several years as a licensed figure skating coach, choreographer and qualified dance teacher, teaching recreational skaters of all ages in Hanover. She is still active herself, both on the ice (singles, solo ice dance) and as a dancer (ballet, contemporary). She used to compete in singles and show duo competitions and, with her partner, won first places in competitive ballroom dancing at the DAT “German Open” German Championships. Lola is the first German champion in senior solo ice dance.

Important note on pricing & hotel bookings

The price only includes the use of the ice rink and the organised training. Private lessons, meals, accommodation and travel are not included and must be organised and paid for by participants themselves if required.
