The coaching team (subject to change!)
(We speak German & English)
Kat Miles
Kat is a licensed figure skating coach, fitness and personal trainer, and athletic coach for competitive sport. She competed in singles and pairs skating (Olympic squad), performed as a show skater in various shows worldwide, and was a professional skater and coach on the TV show “Dancing on Ice” on SAT.1 (seasons 1 and 2) alongside Detlef Soost and Peer Kusmagk. Kat founded the SKATE Club in 2019 and has been managing director of SKATE & Media GmbH since 2024.
Lauren Anderson
Lauren grew up in Minnesota, USA, and started figure skating at the age of seven. After many competitions in the USA and Canada and earning her two gold medals in Freestyle and Moves, Lauren joined “Disney On Ice”, performing in more than 5,000 shows worldwide. During her time with the show she was a principal soloist and adagio skater, understudied an aerial act on ice and held the role of “Ladies Line Captain”. After touring, Lauren began teaching private lessons and group classes and also skated with the American Ice Theatre. She enjoys working with skaters of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced. Since moving to Germany in 2020, Lauren has loved being part of the figure skating community and sharing her passion for the sport.
Angela Thomasius
Angela grew up in Davos and comes from figure skating, competing at the Swiss Junior Championships. Early on she looked beyond her own discipline: as a teenager she was already coaching on the ice in Davos, in ice hockey, at times even training a women’s ice hockey team in the top league. At EHC Engelberg she has been teaching young hockey players power skating for years, building strength, stability and agility on the blades. In Engelberg she also led the children’s courses of the International Skating Club. As a trained primary school teacher with a master’s degree, she knows how to teach technique clearly and with joy.
Important note on pricing & hotel bookings
The price only includes the use of the ice rink and the organised training. Private lessons, meals, accommodation and travel are not included and must be organised and paid for by participants themselves if required.
