Level & Age at SKATE Club Camps
Group 1:
Learning how to walk forwards and backwards, braking, transferring and first turns on two feet.
Group 2:
For all those practicing triple steps, mohawks, first single jumps and first one-foot pirouettes.
Group 3:
For everyone, single jumps, possibly practise Axel and first double jumps, various pirouettes, difficult steps such as Twizzel, loops, backwards triples, turns etc.
Target audience:
The camps are primarily intended for adults. The minimum age is 13. Age will be verified upon entry. No refunds will be issued for false information, as tickets could have been sold to others.
The coaching team

Kat Miles
Kat is a licensed figure skating coach, fitness and personal trainer and athletic trainer for competitive sports. She was competitive athlete in singles and pairs skating (Olypmia squad), show skater for various show formats worldwide as well as professional skater and trainer for the TV program "Dancing on Ice" on SAT1 (seasons 1 and 2) alongside Detlef Soost and Peer Kusmagk. Kat runs the SKATE Club YouTube channel.
Katja Bögelsack
Katja Bögelsack – Katja (formerly Schubert) was an active pairs skater with her brother Knut Schubert in Berlin from 1964 to 1977. Together, they competed in the World and European Championships as well as many national and international competitions. Katja has been teaching all levels and age groups since 1985 (Berlin, Hanover, Wedemark). For her, figure skating is the most beautiful sport in the world for young and old alike.
Gary Jones
Gary has been a NISA Level 4 coach and head coach at Alexandra Palace in London and in Gillingham for over 40 years. He has trained international medalists in freestyle figure skating and ice dancing, including three-time British champion John Hamer. Originally from Edinburgh, he was the first coach at the Gillingham ice rink and shaped its young talent in the 1980s and 1990s. His focus is on technical excellence and the development of top talent.
Sharon Jones
Sharon has been coaching figure skaters of all ages and abilities in Gillingham for over 40 years. She has coached junior and senior medalists in ice dancing, pairs, and freestyle figure skating, including participants in the Youth Olympic Games. Her coaching style is based on patience, individual support, and goal orientation in order to provide her students with the best possible support.
Important note on pricing & hotel bookings
The price only includes the costs for the use of the ice rink and the organized training. Private training, meals, hotel accommodation and travel to and from the event are not included and must be organized and paid for by the participants themselves if required.
